5 cereal sandwiches with sunflower seeds / Buns with 5 cereals and sunflower seeds

Usually, I'm not used to making bread at home. The other day, I didn't want to leave the house to go shopping, there was a storm outside, it was raining profusely. So, I thought I'd make some bread myself, to add to what I already had at home. Recently, I started collaborating with Molino Chiavazza and I had a lot of flour in the pantry, including cereal flour. So I thought of making these sandwiches. They came not bad, bloated and tasty. I don't know about you, but I love cereal bread, wholemeal, soy, corn, spelled with the addition of various seeds (sunflower, sesame poppy, flax).
I thank the company for this opportunity they gave me.

Ingredients
for 6 sandwiches

250 g of flour Molino Chiavazza bread mixture 5 cereals
& # 189 bag of dry yeast (3.5 g.)
& # 189 teaspoon of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
200 ml. warm water
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

Preparation
Pour the flour into a bowl, make a hole in the center and pour the dry yeast, sugar, oil and salt. Knead with water, adding it little by little. Add the sunflower seeds. When you have put all the water in, check if the consistency is not too sticky. If necessary, add more flour. Knead by hand for 4-5 minutes. Dough should be soft and elastic. Cover the bowl well with a cloth. I always put the bowl with the dough to leaven in a plastic bag and close it well. So the dough "sweats" better. Leave to rise for 1-2 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. The volume of the dough must double. Divide the dough into 6 equal parts and give it a round shape. Put them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, brush them with a little water, put other sunflower seeds on top. Let them rise again for about 20 minutes, covered with a cloth. Bake the sandwiches in an already hot oven, at 180-200 & # 176 for about 20-25 minutes.

ingredients
for 6 buns

250g flour with 5 cereals
& # 189 sachet dry yeast (3.5 g.)
& # 189 teaspoon old
1 tablespoon salt
2 tablespoons olive oil
200 ml. warm water
2 tablespoons sunflower seeds

Method of preparation
Put all the flour in a bowl, make a hole in the middle and put the yeast, oil, sugar and salt. At the beginning, pour the water, little by little, and mix all the ingredients well with a fork. Meanwhile, add the sunflower seeds. Then start mixing by hand and knead for about 4-5 minutes. If you find it too soft, add more flour. The dough should be soft and elastic. Cover the bowl well with a thick napkin. I usually put the covered bowl in a plastic bag (tightly closed), so the dough sweats easier. Allow to rise for 1-2 hours, depending on room temperature. The dough should double in volume. Then divide it into 6 pieces, giving a round shape. Put the pieces in the tray lined with baking paper. Grease them with a little water on top and sprinkle other sunflower seeds. Bake the buns in the preheated oven at 180 & # 176-200 & # 176 for about 20-25 minutes.

Happy Birthday! to my brothers Elena and Constantin

May 21 - St. Constantine and Helen - the protectors of Christianity

On May 21 we celebrate all those named Constantin and Elena. In our country, approximately 1,850,000 Romanians are now celebrating their name day. The five most common such first names we meet: Elena, Constantin, Ileana, Costel and Lenuta.

And that in all families and in my family there are many Hellenes and Constantines. but the most important are my brother, Oliviu Constantin and my sister Raluca Elena to whom I wish all the best in the world. I want to tell them that I love them very much and that I am proud to have them. and I hope that the years will not separate us and that we will remain united and love each other. let's not forget that we are brothers and that we have the same blood.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO ALL THOSE WHO SHARE THIS NAME: CONSTANTIN AND ELENA.
Here are some of the meanings of these first names:

- Constantine comes from the Latin & # 8220constans & # 8221, which translates to being firm, constant or steady.

- The derivatives of this first name are Constanta, Costel, Costache, Costin, Costea, Constantina etc.

- Elena comes from Greek and means light torch, sunshine or sunbeam.

- Other derivatives of the first name Elena are Eleonora, Nora, Lena, Ileana, Ilona (Hungarian version), Lili, Lenuta, Neli, Ilina, Leni, Lenus, Elina, Elenca, etc.

The Christian religion honors these two saints because they were among the first to promote and defend Christianity and the holy cross, legend has it that St. Helena was the one who found in Jerusalem the wood on which Jesus Christ was crucified. However, no one knows if this was really the case, given that several theories have circulated about the authenticity of this cross. While some say that the holy cross was found by the wife of Emperor Claudius Caesar less than ten years after the Lord's Ascension, St. Cyril of Jerusalem states that fragments of it have reached the world, helping and protecting it. on believers.

The father of St. Constantine the Great, Constantius Chlorus, was emperor over the islands of Britain. Her mother, St. Helena, was recognized as a very faithful woman who always helped the poor and made constant donations.

From the beginning of his reign, Constantine the Great defended the signs of Christianity. He came out victorious in the battle with Maxentius, the pagan emperor who ruled over Rome and had started a real war against the believers. The day before the battle, the saint saw in the sky a large and bright cross with the message & # 8220In hoc signo vinces & # 8221 - & # 8220By this sign you will win & # 8221. The flags of his army were then inscribed with the sign of the cross because Jesus Christ had appeared to him in a dream, asking him to do so. After his army was defeated, Constantine the Great acknowledged God's help by issuing the Edict of Milan, by which Christianity became a permitted religion.

Here are some of the important laws or deeds made by Saint Constantine the Great:

- Raised or helped repair churches.

- The treatment in prisons has changed to become more humane, eliminating some far too drastic laws such as burning with red iron, crucifixion, crushing the legs, etc.

- It makes divorce difficult, punishes adultery and changes the rules on marriage.

- Orphans, widows and the poor have the protection of the emperor, who enacted special laws for them.

- The First Ecumenical Council of Nicaea, which established the day of Easter and the Symbol of Faith, the Creed, was also convened by St. Constantine the Great.

- Sunday has officially become a day off.

- Constantine the Great founded the city of Constantinople, being the first Christian emperor of the Roman Empire and then Byzantine.

- He is considered the protector of Christianity.

- Remembering the symbol that helped him win battles, Emperor Constantine the Great sent his mother, St. Helena, to Jerusalem to look for the cross on which Jesus Christ had been crucified. Legend has it that part of the holy cross was shown to the faithful in Constantinople, and the other part was left in Jerusalem.

The reign of Saint Constantine the Great was a long one, 30 years, in which the emperor did nothing but respect the word of God, helping to promote Christianity.

Saint Constantine the Great and Saint Helena were elevated by the church to the rank of saints, being called "exactly like the Apostles".

Few know, but details about St. Constantine's mother, St. Helena. Here is something about his life and the good deeds he did:

- Elena was the first wife of the emperor Constantinus, at the time when he was a simple general. Arriving at the head of the British Isles, Constantinus was forced to repudiate his first wife, taking a consort of noble cattle, as provided by the rules of the time.

- Once in charge of the country, Constantine, son of Constantine and Helen, called his mother to the city, restoring her dignity and listening to his good advice.

- Saint Helena was famous for her kindness, making donations to churches, caring for the poor and helping to free prisoners.

- One thing worth mentioning is that now the believers pray to him for finding lost objects and for healing diseases.

- It is said that the saint found the wood of the Holy Cross.

- He spent a lot of time in Israel, building a basilica in Bethlehem. His son, Constantine, built a church in his memory at Eleona, on the Mount of Olives.

- It is considered a defender against fire, lightning and thunder.
